Data-driven we are, and data-driven we shall be – in our pro bono work as well. With our last year’s brainchild – the Digital Data Academy – presented at the labtogether conference, we hit the spot. Reason enough for us to build on it and turn this experience into a whole series of free workshops on data, for everyone that runs a social business, a NPO, a NGO or is active in civil engagement. The first one is being hosted in September in Berlin.
Surely you are now asking yourself what role data plays for you, NPO’s and social businesses?
Not only can digital data help improve campaigns and better allocate budgets in the social sector, it can also open up new social innovations, business models and communication channels. Or, in the words of one workshop participant from last year: “The potential to apply digital data in the non-profit sector is enormous, yet undiscovered!”
But which part of our data knowledge is needed by whom?
We want to make our smart data workshops most valuable to the participants – and that is you! That includes everyone who works in a social business, a NPO, a NGO or who is active in civil engagement. To get an overview of the current data application landscape in the social sector and to tailor the content to your needs we want to know:
- What role does data play in the day-to-day of a social business?
- Which digital data sources do you know about and are you using?
- What kinds of data would you like to know more about?
- How do you apply data in order to understand more about your organisation’s goals, target group awareness, website behavior, or campaign/project effectiveness?
Want to know more about our adventurous journey? Check out our story so far.
Of course, we will be sharing further information on the data workshops right here!
We now have a fixed date: Our next Smart Data Workshop will take place on September 21, 2017 from 14:00 to 17:30 at the Impact Hub Berlin. The interactive event is aimed to all those who would like to learn more about smart data and possible application fields in the social sector. You can find out more here and register for the free workshop.
Looking forward to meeting you, your pro-bono team of td Berlin
